I saw a blond groundhog yesterday in a bean field. It was beautiful, very light blond. I know nothing about taxidermy. The only thing I have ever had mounted was a bass and that was years ago. I wrapped it in a towel and froze it and it turned out to be a nice mount. What would I need to do to preserve this groundhog, if I can get him, for mounting latter on? Will I have to skin it, freeze it or what?
    Thanks in advance. :D

i would suggest calling a taxidermist but you should be able to just freeze it hole and let them skin it. on mckenzie website they have some different molds for them so you may want to look and pick out a pose. goodluck on him.

Good advice in the thread above. Let’s see a picture of that groundhog Carl.

Couldn't get a pic, he ran off. I am hoping to look at him through a scope.
