blind 40 sloughs

    drew blind 40 at sloughs 25-26th anyone have any experience there. just goose hunting, anywhere to put out fullbods there?

    I think that one faces the slough and would be a hard shot at geese

    That one does face a slough and not good for goose hunting

    You should still pack all the full body's you can on it.You will have much more luck and a lot more draw with the fullbody's.

    I've hunted blind 40 before during duck and goose season. I don't have the waterfowl guide in front of me, but if duck season is closed by that time..I'm guessing most of the geese will fly across the slough into the refuge (out of range). If there aren't a lot of new birds down, the ones that fly over will be high. However, if new birds are down, I'd take some floaters and load up the slough around the blind and take a bunch of field decoys to line the bank and field behind the blind. You might have some luck that way. Best blind for ducks though. Chris.

    the draw was for 25 and 26th this coming week , im not going to go just look for birds around my area so the blind will be open first come first serve!! Good luck to all on opening weather has been pushing them down this way hope its the same for you guys!!

    Ive seen many of geese die there. Just dont expect them to ever be committed.
