Happy for you man! But to be honest that Bullcrap. I have put in every year except for maybe 2-3. My kids put in almost every year too Along with my wife and family. An none of us ever get drawn. I use to admire the kdfw. But over the last several years i have lost most of that. They refuse to address the turkey population issue. Draw the same people over and over again to go hunt whats left of the elk since they keep giving them away and etc. Nothing personal toward you by no means but thats a load of crap. Sorry. It just is... It may not do any good but im calling to complain. Sad

that's why I quit putting in for it many years ago, except back then they actually proved there was corruption under little johnny

If I were you I’d feel very much the same way. I don’t know how I have been blessed so much or those others that have gone multiples like myself I’ve been blessed to do so I just know that drawing is legit just wish there was a way of making it so more people could be drawn

So do u think corruption is involved?

I truly hope that’s not what he’s saying I believe on some levels and every organization there is some such in a lot of politics of course people of been talking about the lower turkey populations also yet I had very few turkeys to none here near my phone my neighbor and I took out nine coyotes last year on just over 130 acres no this year we’re seeing hands quite a few so I think Sportsmans addressing those issues might help As far as the drawer in Elko I wish we weren’t giving so many away moving around so much and all that stuff but what do you need to let the herd grow a little more I think and keep working on habitat improvement in access

Been drawn 3 times myself. BUT twice was archery cow. Odds were ~1/13 (a few years it was 1/9) at the time when you could put in for 2 of the 4 hunts. People put in for gun only or bull only odds were 1/500 a 1/1000. They changed it to hunters being able to put in for all 4 or i would have been drawn for cow a couple more times in my lifetime. Most of the multiple drawn are because of this, very few were drawn for bull multiple times

I am 100% with you. I along with my wife put in every year but the last 2 and have never been drawn. This along with health issues is why I have given up. I guess it was never meant to be to harvest an elk. Good luck on your hunt.

I do not think there is corruption involved with the drawing but I do think the algorithm is stuck in a bit of a loop. The only year I have not applied is 2011 and that was purely because I forgot until my buddy told me he got drawn. There is always next years drawing and I will continue to apply every year.

It's not a once-in-a-lifetime tag. It is a random draw. Repeat winners are going to happen. Happens in some western state draws, happens in casinos, happens in the lottery. When it's random, it's random. If people don't like the process, they shouldn't particpate. I hope wife and I can draw a tag someday, also hope @racsr draws more tags.

No i dont think its curruption. I simply think it could be setup different to help get new folks drawn that have never been. But no i dont think its curruption and im happy for you. Its nothing personal. Good luck and i hope you kill a trophy of a lifetime.
