That was kind of my thought. Use it and hang it on the mantle, I just wanted to hunt something with it. Then it went and patterned great with #4 buck, got my wheels turning on what to hunt next.

I tried just a nitro card over the lubed cushion. Did terrible. My cushions are pre-lubed so I am shooting nitro card followed by the cushion. I think with the #5 I need to experiment in the 1 3/8oz territory to get a denser pattern. Getting a feel for setting the overshot cards took some practice. I may or may not have dumped one barrel of shot out during testing.

Mine works out to be a 28 gauge smooth bore so that's what I went with...
