Didn’t see any this morning. Took the kiddos but wind was brutal. Went this afternoon. Only had an hour to mess around before family got home.

I shot a third but it crawled half in a hole before giving up the ghost.

If you’ve never hunted with a muzzleloading shotgun, I highly recommend it. Was a ball. Shooting 1 1/4oz of #5 over a lubed cushion, nitro card and 60gr FFFG. #11 Magnum cap.

Was enough to get a smile out of me, well, as close as I get to smiling.

Good job man, really like that stone table.
Thank you. It’s handy for skinning fish and critters. You can’t tell it but those slabs are 3’ deep. If anybody ever tries to steal the bench, I’ll watch them struggle for a while before I run them off.

Going to shoot the .50’s tomorrow and let my mom walk me through the steps of loading hers and firing before next weekend.

That would be some good shooting. I’ve never owned a cap gun smaller than 45 caliber.
T/C's Cherokee Muzzle loader, also made a .45 caliber barrel for their model Cherokee .32 M/L. Both were lightweight and very accurate with the right charge & bullet. Never used a sabot .357" in the .45 caliber though, but rather Lee's REAL cast bullets.
