There is no point in traumatizing cool Bobboo, unless he starts killing things of value. He is a curious feline and will come to the empty paint buckets on his own. He will probably even play with them on film.

Ok it's plan to see the black cat has no tail just a stub .... Now bobcats have a tail about 4 to 5 inches long I've been putting up pelts long enough to know

Several seasoned trappers tend to disagree with you.

I don't think it is a bobcat, but he deserves the name Bobboo along with a better ID, because he appears to be unique. He does not appear to be malnourished, but photos can often be misleading. Some food wouldn't hurt. That's obviously part of his territory.

Hold on you saying I'm not season trapper ?? Or saying that bobcat don't have a tail ?? it took me a minute to See it but that is a house cat. Tell them "season trappers" to look at the tail

No, I'm not saying anything about you at all. I'm saying there are seasoned trappers that think this is a black bobcat....

And I've seen a lot of "tail" so I consider myself an expert as well. :D

Here’s the only other pic of it I’ve got. It shows the tail better. For the record. I’ve never claimed it to be a bobcat. But I believe there are far greater odds that it is, than isn’t. If I had to say definitively, I’d say it is. If it’s just a house cat, it’s a huge one!

6 of one, half dozen of another. It appears their tails are like peckers. Some are bigger, some ain’t....

You are the bobcat God no use in debating it .... If you ever trap it and it's a bobcat I'm man enough to say I'm wrong but for now it's a house cat the reason I'm saying that my mother in law has one it's black and white about same size

I’m not attempting to debate you are. Actually, you’re convinced you’re right and I’ve never made such a claim. If it is a bobcat, I’m gonna have a hell of a time catching it since I’ve never trapped a day in my life. Let alone one that’s only showed up twice in the last three months. In the meantime, enjoy this photo of a short legged blue heeler that’s obviously a dachshund. ;)
