Got a couple pics of this big cat this week. I'm no expert, but this cat appears to be huge. Deer pic is for reference to show the log as comparison. That cat has to go 40 lbs?

You're not going to see a 40 lb cat.

Evidently not. If I see it, I'll kill it. Then we will see what it weighs. I just can't imagine that cat not weighing over 30 pounds.

I've heard trappers say that 30 pounds is a really, really big cat.

IMG_0651.JPG That's a nice cat pic but don't think he'll go 40 lbs. I've caught several cats here's my biggest 30 lbs on a scale.Average weight been around 23 lbs.Biggest I've ever heard of was 34 lbs. From Ky.Cats will fool you they always appear heavier than they are.

While from the same camera, the deer and the cat are not in the same location. The cat appears to be on the dead log, while the deer is several yards behind it, and much farther away from the camera, thus the sizes, from a 2 dimensional perspective, look similar. The cat pic is like someone long arming a fish toward the camera.
