looking to buy a new rifle. What does everyone recommend? Have a 30.06 already

If you have a 30-06 then I’d use a 30-06.
my family uses 30-30, 25-06, .243, .308, 350L, 7.62x39, my favorite .270 Win. I have friends that use anything from 22-250 to 300 Win Mag.
30-06 is pretty much at top of whitetail heap. If you just have to buy a new rifle for kicks, I’d get something that filled another niche not just deer. No sense in having a .308 and 30-06… unless your me. I need both because .

But if you want some real answers tell us what you want the rifle to do? What kind of place you hunting? 50 yard shots or 500 yards? You care about recoil? Why you straying from the 3006?

To answer the OP, I agree no wrong answers here. A 30-06, 270, 243, 7mm-08, 7mm mag, 30-30, 308, 300 mag, 6.5, and anything in between will all kill them just as dead.
I'd stick with the 30-06 or buy whatever catches your eye if you just want to try something new.
Is it Bore sighted and ready to go to the woods?
