Looking for a sling, tell me what you like.
10# gun not counting scope
This is the only one I've been happy with more than half a season. I know it's a "cheapo" brand, but it's comfortable, easy to adjust, has a thumbhole loop, and most important has an aggressive rubber tread on the back that STAYS IN PLACE when I'm hiking. If you want to try some different ones I have about 20 you can have, all different brands lol I'm a little picky about gun slings
The slim claw slings
Are the clips metal?
A mix of some metal and heavy plastic. They're pretty sturdy. Not crazy about them, but figured I could always replace them. So far 2 seasons and haven't had the need to yet.
Claw, hands down. They are comfortable and stay put. Never had one fail. I own 5 of them with my oldest being about 12-13 years old.
Murray leather, in Tx. Have several of them, ordering 3-4 more
I have three of these. Love them.

I use a super sling, had it for around 20-25 years, it's adjustable on the go while walking if need be.
I like the looks of that one. May have to give it a try. Where can you get them?
I bought mine off the website. Don't know of any retail locations that sell them.
Montana Rifle brand Slings. I have several on my Rifles, and they come ready to attach to your rifle, simple as that.
I use a wide Claw for heavier guns and a slim Claw for lighter guns i.e. 22's. The gun stays put on your shoulder. I've tried all kinds of slings but the Claw works best for me.
Have you tried the thumbhole model?
