I haven't hunted it this year. Prof DW killed that doe opening morning there. Activity has dropped to near nothing there. The new guys on that next farm kill the piss out of deer in gun season, and his kids are always running around and shooting guns. Had I known the previous owner was going to sell, I would not have built it there...

It was a fun weekend to build it. Mine is next and it will be pre-built and assembled on-site with some tractor assistance.

No chance of all day sit tomorrow. 10 MPH winds by 9:00 AM, and 13 MPH at dark. I'll hunt in the morning. I don't know if I will hunt PM at all. I hate hunting in the wind.

I have a stand that I can count on one hand the deer I've seen before 9:30. Killed a buck there at 1:50 and several late morning/early afternoon does. Not all stands are good all day sits.

I can only assume HECS suits. Only thing that makes sense.

I don’t get much time away from home and I have three snot nose kids and a dog. Any chance I get to sit in a stand all day is SUPER easy. Using my summit climber, I can fall asleep easily, especially if the sun is shining on me. Deer or no deer, it’s pretty easy for me

I cant help you on areas but as a long time leasee the distance you are from your property matters as far as the amount if times you visit it.Which will help keep trespassers, poachers away. Also if you going plots or upkeep distance comes into play.Good luck.

If your from warren co. I’d look into Ohio or Edmonson county. Big deer, good numbers not as many hunters as Logan or butler or warren co. And land is cheap cheap there compared to Logan and butler. Yes like every county there are good sides and bad sides and good and bad neighbors as stated previous but if I lived in warren co that’s where I’d look. And if your intrested in that south muhlenberg co place sounds like you could buy a big enough chunk of land enough in Ohio and Edmonson to not worry much about neighbors there either.

Owen co. People are nice and the land is accessible with potential everywhere, and the guy who said no deer in the whole state?? That’s why we are consistent number 2 in booners killed and lots of up and coming deer. So I don’t understand that one

Have trail cam pics of people shooting deer from the road at 2am. Poachers are just awful in Bullitt
