Looking at buying a action camera I have looked at go pro but told other cheaper ones are just as good what's everyone using?

I use a go pro and I like it. I use it for waterfowl mostly but deer also. Also have used it to make educational videos to my customers about my business. The only downside is everything needs to be up close with it. It's wide angle makes the video great for inside 30-40 yard type stuff, but unlikable out further. It also can't be moved fast or has to refocus. So like on my head when birds came in, I'd sit up to shoot and get before I situp and then it would pick back up right as I shot or a hair after. So I had to mount it on a tripod. Slow movements like with a bow doesn't effect it though. I don't have any experience with other cameras.

Just from what I've read mobius is an ok camera, many use it for a dash cam, and as a sports cam.

For a sub-$150 camera, you can't beat the Contour Roam cameras. The quality is right there with the GoPro.

The good things about the Contour are that it is waterproof without a case, and it has a lot of mounting options. Here is a sample video shot with my Contour Roam:

May be different on that camera but WiFi on the GoPro kills the battery in no time.

From what I've heard the remote on it is just a record button that can pick up from about 40-50 feet, there is also some knock off gopros on eBay look same and use same mounts some people on another group said is good

Check out the Geek Pro on youtube and amazon. Gets good reviews and is under 100 for everything. I got one and I've had good luck with it.
