not to make fun of you, but a chihuahua, if only that was true. 3X a chihuahua. they have large ears, so they can hear things and yap more. if bears were that size, i wouldnt worry bout them.
black bear's can get large. way more than 240lbs. i got a friend up north, i will ask him, about it.
E has a mother bear, that will lay on his porch, while he is sitting there. i seen the pictures. he dont pet her, but she trust em enough, to do this. i will see if i can copy the pictures.

I've seen a lot of bears running around Louisville in the past few weeks. But it's Pride Month, so I guess it should be expected.

Went on trail ride with my daughter this afternoon. Just outside Mammoth Cave. They saw a bear this morning.

Ears can be a sign but that's just a sign of a large head. Just like people some have larger heads than others in adulthood. The only thing that don't grow over a bears lifetime is their eye's. That's what you want to look for first if hunting them is a bear that looks like it is near asleep from it's eye's being closed. They are not closed but just small and look that way. Bears don't have good vision but their nose and ear's make up for it. Just think of a pig's vision and you will be close to a bears.
