Any of you seen any bears yet, about time they are traveling. Two spotted in my County sofar!!
Several sightings in lee county. One got my garbage can and dragged it off
The ones you don’t here about, might have been in somebody’s garbage.I’ve not seen any around here.
Had one cruise thru Southern Muhlenberg couple weeks back. People went crazy. We get one seems every year now that passes thru.
Two doors down from me
Iv never seen one in person but that bear looks to be a pretty big one
I’d guess over 300. Big ol head on that joker. Clawed holes in my big garbage can lid.
bout a year or so, a black bear was spotted in bardstown, nelson co.. then bout 6-8 mts., later near taylorsville lake, spencer co.. i wouldnt mind if E paid a visit, if E would kill the neighbor's dogs, that keep killing the egg layers. chicken's.
i can do naught about it, i got 2 horses. plus sister next door, got only one dog, wont get it tagged, and worried bout that. a small chihuahua. yappy nervous dog, mostly retarded, prone to ankle bites, yours.. tag it.
Three years ago a bear chewed on my trail camera, several teeth marks and a broken lens!!
Didn't have my camera up but something tore the heck out of our deer feeder a couple nights ago. Ripped the door off the control box & pulled out the innards and ripped the cable off the solar charger we were using. Much more damage than we've ever seen from racoons (not to mention that the legs of the feeder are greased so they can't climb it). Camera is going out tonight....
Yep that's a big bear..
Last pic I got was the bear!
Was always told that a bear will weigh about 3x what a dog weighs... So one that looks about the same size as my late-80 lb Lab would weigh about 240 lbs...
Also to compare the ears to the head...if the ears look small the bear is big...
Have never heard the dog thing, where did that come from?
An outfitter friend in Alberta, that skins 60 to 70 bears per season, says there is no hard and fast rule on judging bears. Says like people, they come in all shapes and sizes; long legs, short legs, big bellies, thin, long bodies, short bodies, mellon heads, smaller heads, long ears, short ears. Did say boars have a blocky, square nose and sow's have a more slender nose.
sound's like people in a way, dont it, and then some.
