Bass Bait

If you had to fish with one bass bait for the rest of your life what would it be? I'm looking to buy a bunch of new baits and need some suggestions. Thanks!!

Probably a plastic worm. If you're looking for a crank bait, I'd say probably a shad rap.

I have great luck locating fish with my terminator spinner baits. They dont bend and alwasy spin. That or a zoom lizard.

I like plastic lizards in water mellon color and zoom trick worms in junebug color. An old fisherman told me years ago when i first started out that you can not fish plastics wrong as long as you fish it sloooow. I don't like rattle baits at all.

Small Saltwater Baits, that the freshwater bass have never seen before.



Topwater baits are great so are crankbaits.

Bandit crankbait 300 series!

Bandit crankbaits as well..... specifically series 200 in rootbeer / chartruse.

Absolutely the ZOOM brush hog...... Texas rig.....!!!! Hands down, the most effective bait I have used in KY or any other state, any color, fish it slow and bump the bottom.

If it were one bait only year round that would be a jig, it can be used anytime. But I like to throw crankbaits as much as anyone and the shad raps are hard to beat but there are so many others to choose from that have there time and place. Yes don't leave out the plastics either, very good for working those finiky fish. Spinnerbaits and topwaters, we could go on and on as anyone knows. Each bait has it's ''best'' time period to be used and ''color'' has it's part to play as well. Golden rule, use whatever matches the forage the bass are feeding on for that particular time of year.

Just one bait - without a doubt some type of jig. It good year round and you can cover the entire water column with it.

Without a doubt, power bait worm texas rigged in pumpkinseed or purple color. Will catch fish in all conditions. Love the feel of the bite. I also like bandit crankbaits in baby bass color or shad color.

My thought with the plastic worm is that if you want to pinch the tail off- sluggo style stick bait. Pinch off most of the body and leave the tail- crawfish jig. versitile as heck.
