Two whole gadwalls ….one with coffee rub and the other with cavender’s and Tony’s.

Both were unique and both were good.

475 for 30 minutes on the pellet grill.

I have the flu and it was papas last day to hunt……..so he found a new guide to take him. I’ll have to wait until next season to see if I’m fired.

Pappa left for warmer southern weather this morn and because of Flu quarantine I hunted alone.
It was pleasant but slow.
I got one at daylight and one at 9:15.
The 9:15 fell behind the blind and after looking for a while I was about to give up. Then I looked up …..haha

When I picked up my early duck I realized I had a prize.

I always sit the last day out as an offering of gratefulness. Tomorrow I will do the same.
This mornings solitude was a time to reflect and look forward to next fall. It lasted for about two cups of coffee and a good conversation with our maker.
I’ve had better seasons but I can’t say this was a bad one.
