Thick sliced and grilled a 8 lb. butt to go with the burgers.

Made some beans and baked some of last years Kennebec taters for sides. It was all great but the burgers were awesome! Everyone said it was the last jar of sandwich stacker pickles I had been holding back for the occasion that made the burgers over the top. I didn't disagree.

I marinated the strips in Allegro marinade overnight and it was plenty tender. Not as tender as some country style ribs I've had, but definitely not a struggle to eat it.Never had grilled butt…well besides country style ribs. How do you get it tender?
