Browned 2 chuck roasts, then browned some onions and mushrooms in the drippings and threw all in the slow cooker on low overnight.

Served with egg noodles cooked in the juice, Kennebec mash, and cornbread.

Chocolate cobbler for dessert.
@barney wins the Food Internet today with that Chocolate Cobbler.
My wife will be making one of those when she get back from the Army Post. Daammmnnn!

Barney my wife is having a fit wanting that chocolate cobbler recipe.
Care to share please?
Get some of this first.

The batter:
1 cup self rising flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 T cocoa
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup butter melted
1/2 cup whole milk (I used half and half)
1 tsp vanilla

Mix dry ingredients, then add the butter and wet ingredients stirring together. The batter should be fairly heavy.

The topping:
3/4 cup dark brown sugar lightly packed
1/4 cup white sugar
1/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 cups hot black coffee
Mix the dry ingredients

Spread the batter in a greased 1 quart casserole dish. Then sprinkle the dry topping evenly over the batter. Gently pour the hot black coffee over the top. Then into a preheated 350° oven for 40-45 minutes. The middle should still be a little jiggly when it's done. Let it cool for 15-20 minutes before serving.
I doubled the recipe for today's dinner, and it wasn't enough to go around. Guess I'll be using a Dutch oven next time.

That cobbler looks amazing and had me wanting to try it until you said the coffee part. There only 3 things I know of that I don't and can't eat that's bologna , Mac and cheese, and coffee. Ya reckon it would come out good if I used hot chocolate in place of the coffee

You really don't taste the coffee, it puts the syrup at a nother level. Hot water will work to if you don't want to use coffee.
