Have yet to decide but probably some spicy chili, with cooler weather in route. That's an onion center stage at the moment. Going to make tacos or something quick here shortly out of some of it, though...

Nothing worse than having to pause for a mandatory grocery run, when within the midst of using open flame... but it's about to happen...

Rather difficult making chili without bell peppers and beans, soooo... those two rather critical issues no longer exist.

Slow cooking til dusk, adding things here and there, as the crows call back and forth to one another. I prefer geese and have experienced only rare fly-overs here at the lake, interestingly enough.

My son loves biscuits and gravy as much as anything. Works out well for me.

We always had coffee, grease and flour or just water, grease and flour growing up.

The first time I saw white gravy I thought they forgot to cook it.

Been cooking baked beans all night for a church group today. Got about a lb of hog jowl in there. Peppers, more peppers, couple more peppers and onion. Hope they like it hot.

I know I know but I like it and we are trying to stay away from so much grease.
Next I may start cooking my eggs in a skillet of water.

That's what I use. Tastes good and can make it in 5 mins

Definitely looking like ya need more pepper in the gravy. Plenty on the grits though lol

If ya staying away from grease try coconut oil. Always fry eggs in it and a little of everything else
