I just got a new deep freeze. Preparing for hog slaughtering and deer season. Can’t wait.
Have about 15lbs of pork sausage to get through, 60 trout filets and one lone back strap left from late season left.

Yup but I'm only getting one egg a day. Im going to fix up better cages and invest in several more but this time I'm gonna get em from someone more reliable. Guy I got the others from picked em up at the flee market. I'm looking into doing this long term. The taste of that meat is well worth it

Enjoyed as a bedtime snack in cast iron in brown butter. No garlic, thyme or rosemary, other than the nuttiness of the brown butter I wanted to taste the beef. Pulled it at 125 internal, rested 5 minutes and didn’t disappoint.

Wish the entire steak would have been the cap. The eye was good but that cap melted in my mouth.

My girls like the eyes so i eat 3 caps and they eat the eyes. Works out very well.

Dinner tonight at Rafferty’s in Florence. 14oz prime rib. I had already started eating before I thought to take a picture. It was amazing.
