That membrane should just pull out.

The pouch with the actual grit and food did. There is still a lining left that you cut through to remove the pouch ? Youtube just shows them removing the grit pouch,

I can't claim full credit for these.... My husband did the fixin' while I did the fryin'! We made pear mincemeat pies, apple butter pies, and cherry pies. And they were pretty darned good if I do say so! The plan is to see what else we can find in the pantry to stuff into them & I'm getting all kinds of ideas!

With chickens I just clean the grit out, rinse and then peel the tough membrane out.

Brewster ate my Magic Bullet mixing container, hence no smoothies of late. Need to order replacement part. Still had plenty of ice cream creations, none the less. Shrimp scampi
