Ours is never the same sale items that you guys have. Oh well, we're buying very little from Kroger since their decision to turn communist. Thank God we still have great local grocers and butchers.

I think those are way better than the Kroger brand hams.

I figure that in as well. I only buy limited products from Kroger, mostly reduced items.

  4. Kroger is the only game in town in Murray other than Walmart which is a hard pass for me.We have a local butcher shop but they’re plumb out of reason. I’m not gonna participate in the cancel culture personally, but I understand the principle of it.

I didn't cancel them, only replaced with like-minded locals. Wife still picks stuff up there occasionally but no more weekly groceries.

Got the venison chili rolling for this long weekend with snow in the forecast. Got some beer. Ready to watch a little communist NFL. Y’all stay safe and warm.

Wife and I don't expect any visits from the kids for a few days, so we decided to have a pizza marathon over the winter storm weekend. A pan pizza a day for 4 days, maybe even a stromboli thrown in the mix somewhere. Thanks @beauhunter41031 !!
Pizza dough made and into the fridge early yesterday morning.

I made the sauce this morning from some San Marzano and basil maters canned last summer. Definitely gonna start putting a sprig of basil in more jars from now on!
Cold 24 hour fermented dough dumped into a good glug of evoo in a 12" skillet and gently pressed out. Then covered and allowed to proof for 30 minutes or so.
    Toppings assembled.
After the crust has doubled it's ready to top.
Plenty of sauce. Pizza is all about the sauce for both of us!
A layer of cheese, then pepperoni, sausage and ham. I was tempted to drizzle a little more sauce over the meat at this point, but I didn't this time.
Some more cheese, then the veggies.
After 18 minutes on the bottom rack at 500°.
Cut and served after a 10 minute rest.

Gets me every time. I need to master that.

Do your canned peppers stay crisp? I cannot get crisp pepper and nobody likes a soggy pepper.

    Thanks!
The pizza was delicious after a one day ferment on the dough, but days 3-10 is where it's at!
