Put a pork butt on the traeger last night and smoked it all night at 180f. Wrapped this morning and raised temp to 300. Pork was done at 10am this morning. It was for lunch for our daughter’s high school swim meet today. 5B0BCA8B-10B9-44C2-B108-432B395AE9C4.jpeg C6FE8085-4278-49F5-9EE9-304DD8AB52AB.jpeg D439B1A3-CAFD-4275-B294-76AB94E51DF5.jpeg

I'm thinking about going to the local Kroger and just whispering "Barney" just to see what happens.
but I don't know how I'd handle all the power, might go to my head or something.

I’d love to have a big bushel of morels! Had a friend that seemed to have always found his biggest hauls a few days before derby day.

    Haha!
I'm seriously thinking about buying a 4th freezer, but I know I'd have it stuffed in no time too. It's really hard for me pass up half price meat, especially beef. I impulsively bought a bunch of woohoo chicken over the weekend knowing that I would have an awful time finding room to fit it in a freezer when I got home. I was right!

Barney, you're my kind of shopper.
Once in a Walmart several years ago
I was trying to negotiate a deal in Walmart with a manager
my oldest son said "this is walmart they don't make deals"

I bought everything hunting related on clearance for a nominal extra percentage off.

I was walking across the front of the store with several employees following me pushing carts of treestands and hunting stuff,
I thought someone was going to have to pick his jaw up off the floor.

Sometimes if the managers want it all gone at once, they'll mark stuff down even more.

Mighty good dinner last night.... Fried bass and sweet corn from the freezer, fresh turnip greens from the garden, and homemade hush puppies.

Well; where i'm at is the time to pick dandelion greens. the flower is close to the ground, and the leaves havent got bitter yet. it wont last long. never does. :)
just to add to greens; i grew brussle sprouts once, i had some good plants. however, the leaves, an the stalk to the leaf, taste better than brussle sprouts ever will.

I sliced up half of the batch tonight

Big bucks that nobody tends to want to eat makes the best pastrami. Large enough to get some big ol' slices.

Since it's essentially free my son was in the habit of putting around a half pound on each sandwich. His classmates at school all talked about it. Had a couple parents asked me what we fed him lol bc their kids told them. I thought that was hilarious
