Extra points for the cardboard serving platter. I have used a many a beer box as cutting boards and serving platters

I get dozens of those from my local liquor store (free) and use them all the time, like a giant paper plate, Anytime I'm frying a large quantity of something I'll put a layer of paper towels and that cardboard really helps absorb the grease then when you're done just pitch in the trash, oh and the cardboard center divider in a 30 pack is a keeper too

Good idea. I'll remember that one

I wouldn’t have a bit of trouble getting through that whole pie, diabetic or not
I told the family I was going to bake a blueberry pie yesterday afternoon.. They've eat so many blueberries over the last couple of weeks, they were like "oh well".. and went about their business. The last 15 or so minutes of baking they started showing up in the kitchen sniffing around asking when the pie would be ready. :)

Do you like to use flour or corn starch to thicken fruit pies? Some even use tapioca.

I used flour in that pie. I tried to get my bunch to let it cool completely before we cut it, but after a couple of hours, they demanded pie. It was awfully good just slightly warm with the ice cream!

I followed this recipe "loosely". I used more berries for a deep dish pie, made more crust, and added more sugar, salt, and flour in the filling accordingly.

I got these meats on sale and a 6 pack of tall boy Yuenglings for less than a $50 bill. Cheap eating for me this weekend. Too bad the beer won’t last all weekend.
