First time the boys had these off brand chips
When it's too danged hot to really cook, you've gotta get creative...
This was dinner 2 nights ago, a cool veggie "pizza" (prebaked crescent rolls with a cream cheese, garlic, dill "sauce" and topped with whatever veggies you have on hand to chop up):
And our 4th of July dessert was just as "cool," a cream cheese & fruit "pizza" on top of a sugar skookie:
Another cheap a$$ chuckeye meal but I lovem!
By prices, chuckeyes are gaining popularity in my ne k of the woods
I had some fried squash and sharp cheddar with Kool aid for lunch today.
We eat squash often grilled but never fried it., looks good

The Amigos always tell me to eat lots of spicy peppers when it’s super hot outside, they say it makes you sweat good and keeps you cool. I’ll just take their word for it I’m a real pansy when it comes to spicy stuff
I don't care for crazy heat, either. I do like some zest in food. Those are rooster spur peppers in the pic, a lot of flavor, very, very, mild heat.
Always wanted to try one but haven't yet. That looks good
