Picked up groceries from Kroger today and meat had been cleaned out pretty good. Didn’t have the roast my wife had ordered. She wanted to make pot roast so I went to the freezer and thawed out a big chunk of deer ham. Boiled it a bit then threw in the crockpot with carrots, onions and potatoes for about 4 hours. She and my little girl ate like 3 heaping bowls. Thank God for venison!

I've had 3 people at work asking me about deep freezers. Guess the "pick up stuff for dinner after work" crowd is starting to get a little antsy.

My freezer went shot late last summer. I've been putting off buying one. Bait was starting to run pretty good and I was planning on stocking up. However you can not buy a freezer right now. Lowe's said they probably won't have any until June or later.

Everytime someone would mention puttin something in their freezer, my grandmother would always mutter: "they better be puttin it court jars"

Marinated venison tips with onions and potatoes from the grill this evening. My little girl has wore it out!
