Some of the best I ever had!
Never thought I’d be come a sardine snob
I'm gonna give these a try for lunch this week to see if any come close to the quality of the Wild Planet brand.
I’ve had about all of those and I’m gonna say none are in the ballpark to those Wild Planet ones. Pretty too lol.
Haven’t got the wild planet yet but picked up some other randos last week in a Lexington asain market.
I bet those King Oscar sardines are right there though.
Be sure to give a report.
Barney did you ever make the deep fried Vienna sausage
Lunch today was canned butter beans and rice plus a can of Viennas and handful of Ritz not pictured. On the cheap.
tuna eggs and real mayo.
I tried the Portside brand from Save a Lot today. On a scale 'pun intended' from 1 to 10, I would rate this brand a 6.
The favorable things about this brand was the flavor was pretty mild, and the flesh was firm enough to hold the sardine together in chunks as I ate them. One of the main things I didn't like was the look of the skin on these sardines. I really couldn't enjoy them because I kept expecting to have scales in my mouth with every bite!
What's there to enjoy on a sardine. I love me some salmon patties. But I can't see to eat a sardine
They are good for you!
Broccoli is also. Put a bottle hot sauce on it to kill the taste.
If you feel like experimenting pick up a can of the beach cliff mustard sardines, Get some saltine crackers and force them down remembering the entire time that this is one of God’s super foods and you’ll be twice as strong for the next two weeks. I was force-feed them growing up by the fear of papaw but thankful I was because I turned out to be super intelligent and stronger than an ox!!!
