Finally got my country ham dropped off today. It was worth the wait! Would have a prettier picture, but had more important things on my mind :D

Had a hankering for Bambi bacon burgers last night... and cut up a few taters to roast to go along with it.
Tossed a couple bambi bacon patties in the skillet & just set my bacon press on top to keep them from spattering too bad:

Once they got done, topped 'em off with some marbled cheddar:

In the meantime, had some cut up taters going in the oven:

Put it all together & YUM!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya can't get that at McDonald's!!!!!!!!

IMG_1627.JPG 2 table spoons of butter is all this one cost me. Found this large Lions Mane today while walking around. Very good!! Texture between lobster and calamari. Flavor had a hint of crab.

That has to be a southern lions mane! I've never seen one that big in KY.

Looks good, but if it was wearing a Florida hat I'd have just kept on walking

PP- I found one Lions Mane that big last year. IMO you have cooked that one just right. Correctly sliced and your description of the taste is accurate. But it is plain to the watchful eye that you have held back on the recipe in terms of seasoning... can see salt and pepper on the pieces, or some other seasoning. Impressive 'shroom in any event.

However, that Florida hat is gonna be a deduction of some points on the presentation, as previously suggested.
