Anyone use fiberglass rods for crankbaits? I bought one a year ago and I absolutely hate it. I lose close to 50% of fish on it.
I throw deep running cranks on a glass David Fritt's model. Rarely lose a fish. Very soft tip. Let's them get it good.
cant say i know anything about fishing, cept i like to. i have a reel, ABU ambassadeur, 6500, made in sweden. it still has the berkley nylon braided line on it. 35lbs. i still got a 100 yr berkley braided nylon, 15lbs, never been used. cant say i ever caught any fish on the 35 test, but it would cast good with the 35lbs line on it. the line was multi-color. i could only cast 100 or so ft', with it, 1 oz weight. ya had to adjust the bushings on both sides. i didnt have tangle problems. i wish i could tell ya what name the rod was. no cork, has wood at the handle. sh#t, i forgot what i was going to say, or ask. nevermind.. oh, now i remember, i liked the line back then.. didnt tangle...
