When we leaving?

 

LOL. Daddy is still planning to go. Hope he doesn't change his mind. 135 acre lake. No gas motors allowed. Can't even launch if outboard attached.

 

I change line on my reels about every 6-8 weeks.

 

I do 6-8 yrs.

 

Pops should have fun. Has he been to Fl fishing before?

 

Yes. Fished Kissimmee in the 70’s, then Okeechobee with me in the 80’s. We had a 20 fish string that was pushing 70 lbs.

 

Only time I’ve bass fished lakes was Toho, live shiners. I don’t count it but I caught a 9.235 on the last cast. I fish private lakes around destin and have caught a dozen 5s,6s,and 7s

 

Going to Clearwater in a few months and hoping to link up with a buddy from the area and fish

 

Why don't you count it?

 

I got an 8+ on Okeechobee. That's my biggest bass. I've caught 6-7 over 7 in Ky. No telling how many 6+.

So? Did you catch it on rod and reel? If so, it counts. I've never fished shiners before, but if I did, and caught a hawg, I'd be proud of it for sure.

 

If you didn't count it, you wouldn't mention it.... just sayin.... be proud of that hawg.

 

I’m not. Whenever I mention it I say it was live bait because of that. I’ve caught 2 in ky over 8. I’ll proudly talk about those. Plus it was with a guide so I didn’t find it by myself.

 

I also caught a 9 in Georgia on a jug on a goldfish
