Climate change has to have something to do with this.
Its crazy because it varies from deer to deer and area. Climate food stress and lots of other factors. I have seen alot of picture from southern Indiana with fresh sheds on the ground.
I had 3 or 4 other young bucks not in this group who were also still packing, only have one mature buck on this place and he wasn't on there so I don't know about him
That's crazy. I haven't seen a deer with antlers on camera in some time. I found a pair of 2.5 year old 8-point sheds from this year way back in December.
Of the 10-12 bucks I'm seeing on a pretty regular basis, only 1 has shed both sides and 2 have dropped one antler each. All others are still holding and sparring A LOT.
Checked cams today and had a decent young buck with antlers still
