Looks like an easy way to put some meat in the freezer for winter. Those of you who have kept them, do the freeze as well as other fish? If it’s similar to saltwater fish I’m down to stock up. I’m a fan of the more firm fish like striper and flathead belly.

Freeze em in water, and they do just fine

It does freeze well. I have several in the freezer right now and the fish in the pic I posted had been frozen for several weeks

After cleaning up several boats after catching them bass fishing I can’t bring myself to eat them. They just infuriate me. If I was starving I would but I’d be praying for anything else.

I wouldn't hesitate to try one as long as I knew it was handled properly, not shot with an arrow and left out in the sun
