The no till trend has put a hurting on finding them in fields. My family has found several near old springs in woods though. I stumble on them sometimes in creeks that haven’t been altered by agriculture shed and mushroom hunting but I’m not an arrowhead seeker.

I think that it could be an uncommon edgefield scrapper, now that I have learned the term, briefly read about them, and looked at numerous photos of them.

Got with @Redlined the other night on what to call this..he said it is called a hammer stone. It's triangular shaped and has been used on all 3 corners. In the one pic you can see my middle finger laying right in a little groove. Stone feels perfect there in the hand and as if the little groove was made for a finger or thumb if flipped. Stone is also silky smoooooth. When I found the celt my uncle gave me this and a little flint thumb scraper. I'll have to find it..I think it's in a drawer. Hammer stone was found by him in Breckinridge Co.

Another sex stone, to my eye. I need to pay better attention.

Not busting on your sources, but being it is the Ky Historical Society, you would like to think they could be a bit more descriptive and explanatory to the layperson than, "hammerstone -- a round stone used for hammering".
For some of you interested in this stuff I would recommend Arrowheadology.com or Arrowheads.com for typing points by region, historical period, and knapping pattern.
