Dreamhunter, let us know how this pans out. I think it is a great idea to swap hunts like this. If you have some success I might try a trade with a turkey hunt for an arrowhead hunt. I am covered up with the dang things and although its not a guarantee, you would have to be a pretty bad hunter to not work a bird on a hunt. Good luck and keep us posted

That is a nice rock! Jealous

  6. Have found a few arrowheads. Found one piece that is a gorget. Asking any of the experts if it is worth anything. Perfect condition with arrow shaped markings on the edges.

That is awesome. I would love to hear the story of the find. I have never found anything remotely that nice. In fact I have only found one piece of adornment and that was a large beed I found while hog hunting in Texas. I am not an expert on anything artifact related but I do believe that is a pendant not a gorget. probably splitting hairs but a gorget would typically have two points of attachment with two or more holes. I bet Deadaim can tell you just about exactly what it is worth.

  11. Actually was tilling the garden one day and there it was. My property use to be a tobacco farm many moons ago. I actually wear it during turkey season to keep in touch with the turkey gods.

Its a pendant with tally marks. I would say its worth about 150 to 250 depending on condition. I wouldn't hang it from the hole like that.

  14. Thanks for the info. Any idea of the age of the piece
