Anyone shoot the old Remington

Green and Yellow box core lokt ammo ? Was in Wal-Mart yesterday and they had some calibers 270 and 30-06 I noticed in those for $12.97 a box if anyone is interested. I picked up 3 boxes of 30-06 in the 150 grain bullets. May break out the Weatherby and see if it likes them just because.

I have shot them since the early 70's always shot good and killed good i wanted to try some winchester ballistic tips to just see how they shot out of my gun back in the summer and sighted in for them dont feel like messing with it so i guess i will shoot them this year if i get to go But the core lokts are a deer killer

I like shooting them in my 243. 85 or 100 grain.

I’d say Remington Core-Lokt and Winchester Power Point have killed more Kentucky deer than all other bullets combined. They are deer killers no doubt and I’d say the 180’s in an appropriate caliber would work well on Elk as well.

I've been shooting the core-lokt Green Box in 243 and 7mm mag. Ever since I was 12 (243. 100gn) I started hand loading ammo about 5 years ago and use bulk core-lokt bullets when I can find them for the 7mm Mag (175gn)

My reloads go into a used green and yellow core-lokt box.
