I did not read the article, being that you stated it says nothing. As for a potential dementia, I believe it possible that any one of you could feel like you suddenly developed such, after having been allegedly struck within the face by the butt of a firearm, and probably a shotgun, immediately passing out and then regaining consciousness without necessary medical assistance. Just saying.

Moreover, hypothetically speaking, if in self-defense I were to knock out someone whom had a weapon, I believe that while that individual happened to be unconscious, I would retain my wits enough to quickly ensure that individual possessed no other weapons of any kind whatsoever, nor even the slightest access to such, before attempting to attend to anything else at all, so that the individual could no longer pose a threat to me nor others. That is yet another thing that remains highly peculiar about this incident.

It was said that the older guy was knocked out ( Some one said don't know if it is true) But if the person who knocked him out and possibly left him floating in water may possibly have charges placed on him for not rendering aid. I know this is where the good guy gets a raw deal and should not . But there is law dogs out there that just want to make cases.

Forgive me, Huntress, with all do respect, I didnt read your post, I have come to the conclusion, you read a lot of scientific stuff, but dont know anymore, about real life hunting and facts than I do flying a space ship.
The survivor said he was standing in waist deep water, last time he looked back at him. I seen ducks go under and grab something and drown themselves, never heard of a man doin it. There are just so many stories out there, a lot I have heard, that havent even been published, So many questions of how did this happen, if that was the way it happened. Again, very bad situation, whatever it was 3 lives lost and another probably ruined..

You have absolutely no need to request forgiveness from me, that I am personally aware of, Grago. We are in full agreement regarding the vast amount of stories which have been circulating, whether they be from news outlets, forums, and elsewhere. That is not uncommon when deaths occur with unusual circumstances. As the DA previously stated, this is "bizarre".

I spoke with a commonwealth attorney here at length tonight not long ago and completely forgot to make inquiry, being that our focus was elsewhere as usual. Regardless, I posses high confidence that he knows much regarding this tragedy. I do intend to eventually make inquiry of him, and I very well may refrain from quoting him, understandably I would hope.

As for "real life hunting", I have actually learned much from you and others upon this forum about that, as well as from individuals in person. I have found such to be extremely useful. I have yet to see a duck drown itself, thankfully; although, I have assisted preventing a goose from doing so. As for men drowning, I am aware of how very easy it is to be caught and held down by hidden tree roots, and especially in murky waters after heavy rains. I shall try to avoid such, myself, just like I shall most of you men, as well. ;)

Yeah if you trivially shoot my two best friends right in front of me .....I will literally light you on fire. That’s not keyboard warrior stuff that I’ve been accused of. That’s just reality and I suspect most of you guys on here would do exactly the same.

If the guy who knocked out the old man left him to drown the law may go after him for not rendering aid to save his life. You know the law seems to be more for the bad guy who was the shooter.
Yes the shooter would have had holes in him if I had of been there. I am just saying the law always seem to be for the bad guy shooter and that is not right.

Thats what I was saying, earlier he was standing in waist deep water, but his dementia , was probably so bad, he didnt realize he had a boat he just supposedly rode up in. Again, in my opinion, if his mind was that bad, he couldnt have ever found the blind, And he would have had to really been out of his mind, to start walking, when his boat was suppose to be right there, I doubt we ever really know what happened, but in the end just a bad situation.

Huntress, I really dont mean that in a bad way, Obviously you are by far more educated , than I am in somethings, and not in others, people can read, what anyone writes, and take it for what its worth, and im definately not going to debate you over this, if you gave me a 90 year old man sitting in a old store porch whittling , and the suppose to be 40 year old smartest scientists in the world, tell me I got to choose between these to, to tell me how to make it in life, I will take the old man, . Scientist believe man came from monkeys I dont, they suppose to be able to tell you a rock is 2 million years old, but cant get the weather right 2 days in advance half the time. I spent a lot of time with drs and specialist last year, really saw, how far advanced medicine has come, they didnt have a clue, if it hadnt been for a young female dr in the emergency room , at bowling green, I would be dead, she probably didnt have a 4 th of education the specialists had but used common sense. I give you another example, Had a friend wanted me to pick up 5 of the same item at Academy the other day, I called, they sent me to the gun counter, I asked the guy, which was for the most part was a kid, if he had 5 of the items in stock, he said let me look it up on the computer, and he said yes we have them, I said you sure before I drive over there, he said yes, it shows we do. I get there and they have 1. The bad part was , they were about 15 feet from him, on another aisle . 30 years ago, a person would have walked over there and seen how many they had, then walked to the back, and seen how many they had . But that was 30 years ago. I told him, a lot of people would have been really mad. But I been thru enough , not that big of deal to me. I just told him, There used to be a thing called common sense, where you could have walked 15 feet and counted them faster than looking them up on a computer, and he would have known how many they had. Again, I am impressed with the time you take to look all this stuff up. But as on the dementia, im sure scientists or drs or whatever have looked at cat scans , x rays or whatever of 100 s of peoples brains with it. I doubt many of them have had to hold their dad down while a nurse was putting a tube in his privates , and blood flying, and him asking you why you want to hurt him. Others have mentioned , situations, they have seen, all im saying is, all this hypothetical stuff, dosent mean much to me. I go to drs and I am suppose to believe modern medicine is so advanced now, and I do listen to them because, they suppose to know so much, but if I put 100 percent faith in them I would have been in a wheel chair , and dead long ago. I will admit im not far from either, but I have only lived 60 years, from common sense and Gods will.
