If you only had 2 weeks to hunt in W. Ky., what 2 weeks would it be?
First week of September and first week of November
Are you still from Florida?
Yep once they start hitting acorns it’s lights out. Like HW said, early to mid October is best time of year.
The week before and after Halloween. Best calling/rattling action of the year.
First two weeks of November. Bow hunt hard for a week and if you don't have success then you can get pissed and break out a rifle.
yep, North Fl.
I’ve never hunted much in late muzzleloader but I did this past season and had best action of the whole year. I’m gonna go with that week plus either first week of Gun season and first week bow season. Oops I made it 3 weeks.
Depends what weapon your wanting to hunt with. My pick would be last week of October into first week of November. Best rutting action before the hunting pressure of rifle season hits.
Thanks to all that replied.
Late season has been hot the last few years and we don’t even have good food sources. Most scrapes and rubs have been December and January where I hunt.
Depends on where you hunt IMO. Our state is different county to county. The bow hunter in me says last week of Oct/first week of Nov. The freezer filler in me says late ML. Have no fields to glass, etc...so early season just not great where we hunt.
What county do you hunt?
