I find myself in the deep woods where getting a clear shot at 50 yards or more is uncommon, if not impossible. Several years ago, my wife bought me a Super Redhawk in .454 Casull. It was fun, but shooting the full power loads was punishing! I started shooting 45 Colt and ended up leaving it behind because it's really too much gun for 45 Colt. Last year, I picked up a Glock 40 (10mm), put a red dot on it, and haven't taken the SRH out hunting since. I didn't get out enough last year, but I'm looking forward to taking a deer with it this year. Am I the only one hunting with a handgun here?
