Daddy?, remember when you told me the does needed to be thinned out so that the heard could operate within its carrying capacity. Well daddy I couldnt find it in my soft and simple heart to shoot that hungry fawn with the spots, and it ate all the food and made that 12 pointer's rack small and spindly and stupid looking.

Guys you can't reason with stupidity. I tried that with my ex wife. All your doing is encouraging him. Ignore him and he will get the message. He is to simple minded to understand.

ride him around until he blows up real good, then just cut his head off and dump the carcass along a major road. :)

Thanks for all the support guys I appreciate it. So just for the record NO I'm not starving OBVIOUSLY and neither are my wife and kids. I set out this morning with the intent to shoot a doe with a broken leg I've been getting pictures of. If she didn't show and I had the opportunity I was set on taking a deer today to get some meat for my sons birthday party next weekend and to try in my new smoker. Not a small young buck but a doe of any kind. My plan was to get this done by 9 am because of the coming heat. The little fawn has been coming to that plot, eating corn and apples as well as the wheat and leafy greens in that plot. Never has this fawn ever had an adult doe with it over the last few weeks. It hangs out with the small three point that I CHOSE not to shoot. It came and left several times before I finally decided to take it and use one of MY doe tags. I made a clean ETHICAL shot and it expired in seconds and Im proud of that. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1378608730.315505.jpg
Nothing anyone can say will change my decision and no one can take from me the excitement I saw from my daughter when I brought home that "embarrassment to the SPORT of hunting". She absolutely loved it and helped me gut skin and butcher it and I'm having the hide tanned for her to keep in her room. She likes the spots! Last time I checked this is for now still a free country and I spent 6 years of my life trying to keep it that way. Congratulations to all who were successful today whether it was a 50 lb fawn or a booner. Again I appreciate the support for the freedom of choice that the real sportsman of kentuckyhunting.net understand and respect. GOD bless you!
