Looking at the trail cams this weekend and saw a buck with a trash rack. Decided if it presents itself I am going to go ahead and remove him from the gene pool. I would like to have the antlers made into a knife. It's rack isn't really good for anything but would be really cool to have a knife with the handle from a deer you shot yourself. Anyone know of a company that does this?

Ed Wallace. He does excellent work. He made two for me using my antlers, and he inlaid my sons elk ivory in the handle .

    Not here anymore
Check you PM - I have a friend in that does that. I just gave him a bunch of antlers for other projects.

I have bought two knives from them and couldn't be happier with them. Not real sure but I say they could make you a knife with a antler you bring in. He can also carve in the antler very artistic. Dark Horse & Jewelry call 859-339-8915.

I made one in the past with an antler shed I found during turkey season. The blade is purchased, not hand-made, but I was still pretty proud of the way it turned out. I just made the handle and assembled.

Find a Helle blade on the internet and make your own. Helle blades are awesome and very resonably priced.

A friend of mine has done this ^^^^ a couple times with deer antlers. High level of satisfaction in "Do It Yourself". And as stated above, the Helle blades are very sharp.

Thank you. It's not real difficult, honestly. You could handle it. Just takes a bit of time and patience... Oh, and you also have to put up with the distinct and unpleasant odor put off by antler dust. That stuff stinks!
