Positive for the environment:

“Markets for EVs that stand out are in China, where one in every four cars bought in 2022 was an EV; the European Union with one in five; and the United States, where nearly one in ten cars purchased last year was an EV.”

You do understand that China is constantly building new coal fired power plants, and existing like plants are producing electricity at maximum capacity, and most of those 1 in 4 EV vehicles are actually coal powered; yes positive for the environment, except for the battery production.

Yes, we all know China has challenges to meet in reducing their dependence on coal. They have made pledges to that effect, so history will show if they can meet their goals. Drought and heat waves are testing their power grid, and those problems will worsen as climate changes.

Never has anyone said or implied that EVs were a perfect solution to the worsening climate crisis we are facing, but they ARE a positive step in the right direction. Zero tailpipe emissions coupled with emerging new battery technologies (more range, fewer precious metals) and the increasing use of renewable energy to charge those batteries puts checks in a lot of “plus” boxes for EVs.

Can you imagine how much fossil fuel would be saved if every vehicle worldwide suddenly stoped needing oil changes? Wow. And the performance and features from EVs is superior to anything we have seen in automobiles, and that will only improve as this new technology advances.

Yes, it’s an exciting time for the auto industry. A positive in a world today where positives are much needed.

You really are a space cadet. Why didn't you answer my question that were directed towards you?

A little secret for you Bub...China is known to lie. Yeah, shocker ! They will continue to make the products the world will use on a much cheaper scale and we will continue to be priced out of the completive markets because people like you are so gullible.

No, the power grid will be tested more and more as we shut down coal and natural gas and replace them the scam you call green energy that's nowhere as capable. Yeah, China will control much of the minerals for that as well.

EVs superior? LOL That's such a stupid remark I'm not going to dignify it with an answer.

Moving the “tail pipe emissions” from an individual vehicle to a massive power plant doesn’t reduce emissions dummy. It only changes their location.

Instead of worrying about how many ev’s the communist Chinese build, you should concern yourself with how many nukes and delivery systems they are currently making. Quit being so simple.
