Off to Amazon to check for drive parts...
Pretty cool, but no way in hell I would be using that google pod.
That is so badass. But I 100% would not use or allow Alexa to operate it.
I wouldn't consider myself paranoid about "Big Brother" spying, but with knowing how much our smart phones already spy on us continuously, I'll resist having any such "listening device" in my house as long as possible. Hard pass on that for me.
Same for the robotic sweepers. I'm not interested in it having an extremely detailed map of my house that could find its way on the WWW some day. Nah, I'm good. I kinda enjoy running the sweeper anyway.
I know a lot of people who feel this way but not me. I enjoy being about to turn on my lights or start a heater while I'm doing something else. I also have a Roomba that I've used less and less but it's mainly because my dogs want to attack it.
I'm just an ole redneck. I find it hard to believe anyone would give two craps about what I do in my house. They are certainly welcome to know the dimensions of my TV room. If I scratched out a map of said room what the hell could anyone do with that?
Maybe ignorance is bliss.
