I have a couple of jerk strings. One needs new line as it has seen several seasons, several knots tied in it from breakage or getting tangled in the prop etc.... But the spinner still has a place.

I have a friend, we used to hunt together years ago... He is guiding for his first time this year... Seems to think he can call a bird that has flaired after someone else shot.... But I can't get him to show up for a hunt to demonstrate this prowess...?

One time and one time only have I witnessed said act. Arkansas timber. Worked a group for what seemed like forever. The dipped, we dropped 3-4. Stayed on them. Swung way wide came back feetdown to the water. It was extremely windy and I was not working the call that day. It’s was one of those things that made you scratch your head.

I've seen geese do it. I assume going back for a fallen mate.

I've seen geese do it often, especially back when we had plenty geese to hunt. Ducks, I only once called a young drake mallard back after we kilt his 4 buddies/bitches. Only once

I've seen ringnecks do it a couple times they aren't exactly known for being real smart though.

Redheads are also famous for it. Dumbest birds on the planet. Good thing the limits are low on them or they'd go extinct

Canvasback and red head are known to turn right into the face of fire.
    And they die for it.

New duck enthusiast here, i dont think i qualify for duck killer quite yet-but got lucky one time. Ive been watching duck dynasty reruns for weeks and it has taught me everything i need to know.
