How sweet it is.
hunted Mo earlier in the week and killed a few Monday and nothing Tuesday. Water is out In Hickman and locals say that is where the ducks go when it gets out. Guys hunted today and didn’t see many at all. This is in the east prairie area.
Left Ark. with the ice storm. Strange variety of birds, shot bluebills, hooded mergansers, spoonies, bufflehead, widgeon, teal,
specks & snows. Couple more weeks the mallards & pintails should show up.
One guy asked if there were any ducks on the river. I replied "coming in by the thousands". He replied, "Where at?" The river, duh. Kids these days...
Anyone heard any reports in SEMO? We are headed out Friday morning for a 2-3 day hunt. Seeing that forecast makes me wish I had one of those Sitka rain jackets.
Don’t even bother. Spent 4 days there, never fired a shot. What birds were there the first day I was there left with the ice
They will be back with the warm temps and the rain and the backwater on the Mississippi falling out
Look at these awesome duck hunting temps
And so it begins....."The December lull".
Fixed it for you
Don't know what y'all mean about a lull. Passed a place in SE KY yesterday with two mallards swimming around. That's half a limit in one group for some lucky soul.
El Nino is upon us.
