Tonight I made the dust fly!
Coming right along. Gonna need some more snake skins with that fang on the side!
Your right Jman! I was actually thinking of using a few smaller pieces I have leftover in places on riser. Still at it...
After filing and shaping its time for a lot of sanding, got to get all those file marks out, rough grit then fine.
A whole lot more time invested than you might think! Slow going and lots of elbow grease.
Tips also, more sanding, while quality control keeps a sharp eye out.
This will show what needs more sanding...
Better take a break, hungry & tired, Church tonight.
Checking out after Church, needs more sanding in places, but it’s mine to hunt with! Lose enough, put another oat of oil on, may change mind tomorrow.
It's looking great, Carp! That "fang" is most impressive!
Now officially named “Carp Fang”! Lol
Final coat I hope! Still just a little tacky...
But I couldn’t wait for riser to dry completely, so I mounted them on old riser, and flung some arrars! Tried several weights and arrows, bare and fletched, hunting what it likes best! A little heavier weight than I’m use to but good hunting weight!
Carp Fang should be dry by now! Get out there and fling some more arrars! Post pics of results!
