Correct me if I am wrong but I think someone had threaten to harm the protestors. So they cancelled the parade. They did not want any of the protestors to get hurt!

But yes someone did threaten to shoot anyone protesting. Apparently there was a warrant found in the basement of a Mississippi (I think) courthouse from 55 for the woman and they’re all bent out of shape because BGPD said we aren’t serving it. If Mississippi wants it served they need to come do it, and they set up a perimeter around the woman’s apartment to keep the protesters from getting to her or anyone who lives there, which makes sense to me, and imagine that, they’re all bent out of shape over it.

What exactly, was this woman's involvement with Emmett Till?
Is she the one he whistled at? If so, is reporting that the only thing she's guilty of? Did she actually participate in the lynching? Did she encourage the lynching??
I'd hate to think that these "Protesters" would be allowed to hound a person to their death because all she did was speak the truth and that was the end of her involvement, however racially motivated it was.
