Just curious and not trying to stir anything up .......... what is this "time of emergency" you speak of ???? It's supply and demand. There is a HUGE demand with limited supply. I don't consider this price gouging. Maybe I'm in the minority here. Buy it when it's cheap. Load up. Stockpile. Or deal with these crazy prices.
drove past the Arkansas? plant on way back home the other day and their parking lot was full of workers' cars. Good sign I think.
$140.99 for 150 rounds I picked up 200 round box of Winchester green tips at Academy yesterday for 129.99 for someone else.
To that point.....When Barry was in office, I paid almost $40 for a brick of .22LR. I swore I would never let that happen again. When the Donald was in office, ammo went DOWN to normal prices. I bought.....and bought some more. And when prices dipped further, I bought some more. As long as Biden is in office, there will be no more "normal" prices. Like it or not, the citizens of the US are stuck with this behavior for at least 4 more years.
2022, we get both houses back, they will put Slow Joe away for good and nothing will get done, and at this point, it will be a good thing.
Occasionally, I look online at various stores and check on their ammunition they have in stock. What I am seeing is several calibers of ammunition which no one wants or needs in stock, but the more popular widely used ammo is always marked sold-out, and their prices, when available, are greatly inflated for what they were in 2019. Unless the House & Senate switches control from Democrats to Republicans, we'll receive no relief from these shortages or high prices. I seriously doubt if we'll have Biden as President next year at this particular time, as we might very well see a major shift in leadership occurring in Washington, DC. if situations proceed as they are now.
