I dont know why some of y’all think they don’t get tickets. I know several years ago here someone said the game warden walked down over the dam of a watershed here and wrote like 14 tickets for fishing without a license.

I have no beef with the Amish. Some of there ways of life i actually admire. However i think they should have to pay the same amount of taxs as anyone who owns land. They also put more stress on the roads they use then cars and trucks do. So they should have to pay for that too. Not to mention there borderline dangerous on the roads trotting around at 5mph. An as far as the game laws goes i feel the same. Everyone knows in my area you wont see jack near the amish farms. Because they slay every critter they can and pay no attention to the laws it seems. America is a free country so they should be able to practice whatever religion they want. But they still should pay there part and follow all laws of the land.

When I mow close to my road I make sure to throw the grass back off the road incase some one is riding a motorcycle.
Has anyone heard of a motorcycle accident from Amish horse crap?
It has to be some slick crap.

I have road motorcycles most of my life. Still own a m8 harley street glide. An yes large amounts of grass can be dangerous for a motorcyle. Even more so when its wet. Same with the horse crap. But when it comes to Amish i have had few close calls. Be running 55-60 in a curve and meet a buggy on the other side is no good. Atleast they do have blinkers and stuff for nite now. But still.

The ones around my house have a lantern on each side in a box mounted on them. Or maybe even a candle. And maybe a half to one inch wide white reflective strip around the back. And you can’t see them until you run right up on them. I like the Amish and all, they’ve always been friendly to me. And I admire some aspects about they way they live, but I think they’re a cult.

Yea i cant really disagree. I have heard of some pretty shady illegal things come from them. From some very reliable resources. In a nut shall there human too. Some of them are good some not so much. An they can talk a big game but at the end of the day money talks to them just like it does to regular Americans.

Yes, my brother came up over a hill on a curve and had to brake hard due to farmer coming out of field, as soon as front tire hit the road apples he instantly went down. Lucky for him no traffic was comin head on, he went across oncoming lane, bike was totaled (bike hit telephone pole) and he had shoulder surgery cause of it.
Im pretty sure grass would cause it too, and it seems damn near everyone mows onto road anymore
