I remember seeing the Amish Mafia show on TV. If even half of what they reenacted was true, they are nothing but predatory thugs. As far game laws go, the Amish believe God put game on earth for man and he has dominion. They can hunt whatever, whenever, wherever they want. English laws do not apply to them.
"Reality TV" is scripted from the opening scene to the end credits. Nothing is real. There *WAS* a real life situation in eastern Ohio where two amish guys busted down a guy's door, then shaved his beard off at gun point. A real humiliation to their particular coven. The English law took a dim view of such shenanigans and promptly sent them to state prison...

I know several EX Amish folks, One is a Member Here.
Only 2 are Females and they are DamGood looking Wimmen. They probably got Thrown Out of the Order for being Pretty.
Most of Wimmen are Pretty Homley, Some DAWG Ugly. Natural selection maybe but time they have 7 kids in 6 years, it's Rough on the body.
NO Makeup, NO Hair color, Ugly Clothing sure doesn't help them a bit. Shave their Laigs? Nope. I saw one raise her dress up a bit to go over a Barn Step and she had More Hair on her Ankles and Feet than a Grizzley Bear.
An Old Amish lady we know well had 6 kids...3 left the Order at Coming of Age, 3 Stayed Amish.
Some are very nice folks....Some Ain't

I’ve noticed that if someone tells you they’re ex Amish usually if you pay attention they have a strong jawline and a big nose and sometimes you can tell in their forehead too. Only men though, I’ve never met any ex Amish women.
The crew that built my house were all ex Amish. They do typically exhibit distinctive features that are unmistakable.

I will say 1 thing about them, they can train a horse like nobody else can, a few years back up above Wartburg Tn I had a great looking horse and buggy come past me running about 30mph, the horse had it dead center of the road, it was high stepping and looked like 2 gals all bundled up as it was in the 20's. love to know the story on that rig

I’ve seen them around Hoptown in such bad shape that animal control would come get me here in Calloway if my horses looked like that. Skinny, ribs and hip bones sticking out, lathered up white and use them til they drop.

They are ruthless to animals more times than not.

Used to have a family as neighbors and they kept a Jersey milk cow tied up in ditchline next to road. I often times thought about stopping and shooting it between the ears. One of the poorest animals I have ever seen and yes, any of us would be jailed for such.

Also seen him hang deer in barn for days at 65-70 degree temps during early muzzleloader season🤢.

Queerest person I ever met, didn’t care a bit to bang on door in middle of night or early morning to use phone but if you seen him next to road and slowed down to talk to him he would scurry off in a hurry.

It all depends on the family and church? I’ve known a few that were funny as hell and cuss each other. But I don’t believe any respect fish and game laws.

I noticed a few years ago a young boy riding a little pony. The other day I snuck off to lake and on the way back I guess it was time school let out. Seen the usual crowd walking but as I rounded a curve I came up on a very small buggy. It had a young boy and girl in it. That same pony was pulling it. Are they the leaders of group, preachers, or do we have a little Trump Amish on our hands?

They train their horses like that so when they're drunk the horse will take them on home.

I don't understand why the possum cops won't do anything to them. They *CAN"T* be that powerful politically. Must be something else. I do know they deal almost exclusively in cash. Hmmm... Could that be it? Nah. Cops and politicians wouldn't take bribes...

Mayfield/Graves County hauled a bunch to jail and it made national news several years ago.
