Random question brought up by my son at the dinner table. He was looking over his harvest logs today and he suddenly wondered how Amish buy their license since they don’t have SS#’s. I can’t answer that. Any of you know?

They very well may not. But they certainly don’t stick to hunting only their lands. Gotta be some form of identification they use.
They trespass that much? I have read on here many stories implicating such.

If I were a landowner, I would ask him if he wanted me going all over his land helping myself to whatever I wanted.

Trespassing does seem to be an issue in some communities. I’m referring to them hunting public land and hunting with outfitters. Some even lease lands just to hunt. So they have to bring things a some what legal. I was unaware of them SS#’s. But according to @3PointSlayer they do. So that would solve that mystery.

Those are probably Mennonites. Same but different...
My experience wit der amish, aside from the road side markets is not positive. Trespassing and poaching is a way of life for them. Now that mushroom season is upon us, I'm sure my prejudice will be re-enforced...
