Found 21 today..(4-12-13). Not a bad start. Some were good size and some on the small size. Hope to add a few hundred more soon.

Found 24 really nice 4-5 inches bla is Friday am in Jefferson county and found another 9 in Hart that afternoon. Looked again this morning after getting a gobbler and found another 34 in Hart. All black except 1 tiny grey. All were very fresh on ridges or near the crest of ridges of hickory & poplar.

Niiice!! We usually pick the dried up ones too! Most of the time, they'll soften up when you soak them.

Wildman.....you have got to stop!!! I'm stuck at work and lookin at those golden wonders you got fried up, and man o man am I hungry! We gonna fry ours up wednesday night. Dad like to slice them and soak em in salt water over night, then soak em in plain water before he fries them! Out of all the black ones we found, I found one little white one about 2 inches tall. It was in the same area as the blacks were. Around a bunch of poplars on the evening sun side of a hill.

I found a few nice blacks yesterday. I would guess the yellows should be popping up any day now.

Found 9 more fresh blacks on top of Jefferson county poplar ridges on the edges of fields and/or gravel roads. Still not finding any large #'s.

Found 13 tiny greys this evening while scouting a new spot in Jefferson county. Found these around ash trees in a overgrown farm pasture/woodlot. Always exciting to find a new honey hole! Tonight's rain should really make it happen this coming week.

Checked on a few spots in Jefferson county where I have been finding a few blacks over the past 10 days. Only found 3 but they were fresh. Left there and headed to farm for an afternoon turkey hunt in Hart county and tagged out with a 22 lb gobbler. Looked for morels after the hunt and found 37 blacks, a few we're fresh but most were still good but showing age. Also found 6 very small greys and yellows. Pretty good day!
